Our opening circle starts promptly at 3:30pm. It is incredibly important for all participants to be present for this circle as this is what creates the sacred container for our time together.
Please park in the designated area, and Knoll Farm staff will take your belongings up the hill to the Yurt Village. No cars are permitted to drive up the access road.
What to Expect
Knoll Farm is a certified organic family farm on a steep hillside in the heart of the Green Mountains. The barn where we will gather for meals, and some group activities like yoga, sound healing and art is located at the base of the hillside. A short but steep walk straight up from the barn will take you to the yurt refuge. The yurt refuge is where we will sleep. It also has a bath house with outdoor showers, a wood fired cedar hot tub, and a fire pit for gathering, singing and drumming together. About a quarter mile up the steep hillside from the yurt refuge is the mountain gathering yurt. This is where we will hold our circles and ceremonies.
This retreat is physical but we can assure you that we’ve had people of all ages and various abilities be able to manage the uphill hikes. Be easy on yourself. Build in time to go slow. There will also be some opportunities for Knoll Farm staff to provide rides up and back if/when needed.
We encourage you to check out the Knoll Farm website for tons of beautiful photos, videos and information. It will give you a great sense of the farm if you’ve never been. It will bring back warm memories for those who have.
We acknowledge that we could host a retreat in a location that is easier to get to and more accessible, however, it’s the land that we are bound to. It is sacred and holy ground. You will feel it from the moment you set foot on the farm and it will tug at your heartstrings as you drive away.
We believe the magic of the land is part of what keeps Women coming back year over year to this retreat. Knoll Farm occupies the lands of N’dakinna, the ancestral homeland of the Abenaki people. We pay respect to the Abenaki elders and custodians of this land, past and present.
The current stewards of this land are incredibly passionate about the environment, land conservation as well as social justice. We are proud to partner with them for this retreat.

Food
In addition to the incredible location for this retreat, the food is another pillar of what makes this experience so wonderful. There is something so nourishing about doing deep healing work together, and then sitting around the table gathering for our 3 main meals of the day.
Knoll Farm is passionate about food. They are committed to offering us wholesome food free from chemicals and toxins. The food features their our own organic produce as well as local meats, cheeses, grains and fruit. As a mother (and head chef in my house), it is truly one of the aspects I look forward to the most.
We will start with dinner on Friday, and end with Breakfast on Sunday. Please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions so we can communicate that to the farm.
The other important thing to note is that you can bring some of your own food/snacks however you’ll need to be sure to keep it at the main barn. No food is allowed up in the yurts because it will attract bears. We will have some apples, bananas, trail mix and chocolate on hand to share in between meals.
Schedule
We have been holding this retreat for a few years now and we have a really good sense of the time and how best to use it. We will also be tuned into the energy and needs of the group. We want you to relax into the weekend and have a truly sacred experience.
We will open and close our time together in sacred circle and ceremony. Mornings will be casual. You can come down to the barn early for yoga, breathwork, cards and journaling or not. We will all gather together for our meals. Meals provide opportunity for laughter and connection.
We have other planned activities woven into the weekend like sound healing, workshops, art, as well as tarot and astrology readings. We have also built in time for solitude, integration or using the sauna or hot tub.
We can tell you from experience that the weekend goes by fast! We are so honored that you have chosen to spend your time and energy with us, we can’t wait to gather with you!
